Bursting with Joy

NovemberColorTrend

This is the inspiration photo for today's card and I was inspired by all the beautiful watercolor demonstrations that have been shown in The Classroom over at Ellen Hutson.

I used Essentials by Ellen Mondo Peony stamp set which I heat embossed and die cut.

Wreath Focal Point

The challenge at Mod Squad this week is to use a wreath as a focal point.

The stamp set I used is Essentials by Ellen which I heat embossed and colored with Zigs. I also added clear Pico Embellisher for a bit of shine and dimension. The background is embossed with Essentials by Ellen Stitching Lines

Christmas shaker card

Hello!  After  watching Kristina Werner's video today I was inspired to make a shaker card.

The shaker background was made with Brusho's on watercolor paper, and for the card background and frame I adhered glitter paper.  On the inside I have the word "wishes" die cut from glitter paper.

Thanks for visiting and have a great week :)

Mini Marvels - Mixed Media

As the title suggests today's project is a mixed media mini canvas inspired by A Vintage Journey Mini Marvels Challenge. I've had this mini canvas (2.5" x 3.5") in my stash for so long and this was the perfect opportunity to use it.

The background (which is now hidden) was created with lots of layers of pretty papers, gesso, texture paste and stencils. I added color with Prima color bloom sprays and Prima rose gold acrylic paint. I adhered the flowers, leaves and embellishments and lastly added a sentiment.

Christmas Challenge 1

Hello and a very quick post to share two cards I made a few weeks ago.  The challenge at Where Creativity Meets C9 is Christmas.  I don't have any Concord & 9th Christmas stamps (yet) but I pulled out all the stamps sets I have and started playing:

The background was created using the Stripe Builder stamp set, black on red card stock. Using a gold and black pen I added a few more stripes.
For the wreath I used the Painted Thank You stamp set.

See my next post for my second card.

Christmas Challenge 2

And here is my second card for the same challenge Where Creativity Meets C9 Christmas Challenge.

I used the same stamps sets (Stripe Builder and Painted Thank You) for this card.  I really had fun creating these and ended making a bunch of different cards.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

Inspired by a Film: "Out of Africa"

Hello friends and Happy Saturday!

The challenge over at AAA Cards is to make a card inspired by a film.  When I saw the challenge I immediately thought of the movie Out of Africa and here is the link to the trailer if you're interested in watching: Out of Africa.

And here is my card:

I used stamps from Kitchen Sink Stamps and Studio Calico.  I really had fun with this and even more so with the subject being so close to my heart ❤.

I'm also playing along at Stamplorations and Simon Says Anything Goes.
