Celebrate

Here is the inspiration photo for my card.  Isn't it gorgeous!  I used Altenew Peony Bouquet and Label Love stamp sets for my card.

For the background I adhered double sided tape onto my Woodgrain cardstock and then sprinkled lots of Clear Rock Candy for some glitz and glam!  What fun!

Thanks for "popping" in and have a fabulous day!

Big Thanks

For the Thanks with Twine Challenge at Cas-ual Friday's I used the Big Thanks stamp set.  I wanted to accentuate the 'little card' concept so I made a little card and envelope :)  I stamped the sentiment in pink, moved my CS just a smidge and then again in black.  Yes, you are seeing double :)
I kept it very simple.

And that's the end of my marathon of cards.

Have a great week!

Hey there

A simple CAS card using the 'ghosting' (or ink lifting technique).  I used Distress Inks (just love them), misted a script stamp with water and stamped my cardstock.  After a few minutes the magic happens ;)  To make them pop I cut a second set of butterflies from black cardstock which I adhered underneath my colored butterflies.

Supplies used:
Simon Says Stamp dies
Paper Smooches stamps

Hello

This card was made for the A2Z Scrapbooking June To Die For Challenge.  I used Hero Arts Lotus Paper Layering die.  I watercolored the flower, sponged and splattered the background, added a vellum strip and some sequins.

I'll also enter this in Die-Cut Diva's Anything Goes Challenge.

You are my Sunshine

"my only sunshine..... you make me happy... when skies are gray" ......
This was the inspiration for my next card :)  I masked off my card and blended Distress Inks (in sunshine colors, of course) and then added a touch of perfect pearls.  Jennifer Mcguire has a video on her blog showing this technique and it's great fun.  Try it if you haven't - here's the link.
I die cut the hello from CS and foam, adhered together and added 2 layers of UTE for some super shine!

I'm entering this card in Lawn Fawn Distress Maniac's Challenge and Simon Says Work It Wednesday Challenge.

Supplies used:
W R Memory Keepers embossing folder
Lawn Fawn Hello die

May your day be filled with sunshine and I hope you're singing along ....... ;)

Congrats

This card was such fun to make!  The Cheery Lynn butterfly was die cut from watercolor cardstock, colored with Distress Inks and then I painted Pearlescent liquid acrylic in Silver Pearl (which I've had for years) and this added so much shimmer.  I used the same paint to stamp my background which is visible under the pretty patterned paper from DSWV (called Once Upon A Time).  It has such pretty embossed glitter outlined images.

Supplies used:
Cheery Lynn butterfly die
Spellbinders dies
Hero Arts Newspaper background stamp
Gina K Designs Edible Eggplant CS

Hi!
Hope you've had a good week-end.  I managed to make quite a few cards and my fingers are all inky so I'm a happy girl :)

The first card was made for the StampTV challenge using White, Kraft, Ocean Mist and Blue Lagoon.  I masked my kraft paper and sponged white ink to create my own background so I'll enter the Simon Says Stamp Use Patterned Paper Challenge and Cas-ual Fridays Thanks with Twine Challenge.

Coffee Time!

Today's card is for the MIUM Coffee Challenge.  I don't have any coffee related stamps so I had to improvise :)  I sketched the coffee cup and water colored with distress inks.  Added a few coffee stains (by dipping a glass jar in walnut stain distress ink).  Such fun!  The stamp and patterned paper is from Gina K Designs.  I figured a cup of coffee can turn an ordinary day into a Happy Day!

Also entering Summer Coffee Lovers Bloghop and Simon Says Stamp Patterned Paper Challenge.

May your day be a Happy One!

Travel Journal

When I saw the World Traveler Challenge at Simon Says Stamp, I thought of a friend who's going on an exciting trip soon so I decided to make her a travel journal.

For the background I used paper from Maps, Text and Ledgers from DCWV.

Here is a close up of the top layer where I did lots of ink blending with distress inks.  When in doubt, add another layer ;)  I decided to experiment and mixed Gel Medium with acrylic paint for the stenciling because I wanted the letters to appear more transparent and slightly blurry.  The stamps are To Travel is to Live (Impression Obsession) and Air Travel (Tim Holtz).

That's it for today.  Have a fabulous week!

Shaker Card

Hello!

It's been a while since I posted but I'm so happy to be crafting again!

My first card is a simple one with foiling for the Shake Challenge at Stamp TV and Wedded Bliss challenge over at Mod Squad.  I used the pre-printed sheets from Sending Love StampTV kit.  The foiling came out beautifully using my old laminator.

Here is a close up of the foiling:-

And a peak at the inside:-

That's it for now but I'll be back soon.  Hope the Dad's in your life are having a special day!
