Altenew Inspiration Challenge (1)

Hello!

I'm back after being MIA for a few weeks :) and happy to be sharing a few cards I made recently.   

My first card was inspired by the Altenew August Inspiration Challenge.  

I absolutely adore Erum's card in the Inspiration photo - it's just ah-mazing!

YOU make the world a better place

Hi!

I have a few cards I'd like to share with you today.  My first card includes one of the backgrounds I made recently.  

I inked my stencil with distress inks, misted with water and applied to watercolor paper. Such a fun technique.

The colors I selected are from the color challenge at Rubberdance Color Challenge.

Get Well Soon

My next card was inspired by the CAS-ual Friday Challenge and I opted for a 1 layer / butterflies / stripes card.

I colored the images with my Zigs, fussy cut the edge, and adhered the striped paper to the inside of my card.

Mark It, Stamp It

The challenge over at Mod Squad this week is to color your stamp with a marker and stamp it.  This is a fun technique and I usually use solid images for this technique.  This time I decided to use an outline stamp and watercolor the image.  

I used a selection of tombow markers and the stamp set is Stately Flowers 9 (Gina K Designs.)

Hello and Happy 4th July!

I thought it apt to post this card first, in honor of today.

I find CAS cards challenging at times but today I thought I'd get out of my comfort zone ...... and I had a blast!
