Taking the leap

I'm so excited (and nervous) to post my first card on my blog.  Thank you to all the amazing people who have encouraged me to take this leap into 'Blogland' and please be patient with me while I learn and prove that you can teach an old dog new tricks :)

To create this card I heat embossed the images and applied Brusho crystals to wet watercolor paper.  I then used the same stamp, pressed it into the wet color and stamped the images again.  The images aren't crisp but it's the look I was aiming for.  I added hand drawn lines to add to the artsy feel of the card.

The stamps I used are The Simple Things (Gina K Designs) and Inspiration Mosaic.

I'm entering this in the following challenges:

  10. Congratulations, Zelda! Thank you for letting me know you jumped in the deep-end of the pool! You are going to love this wonderful community in Blogland! Well, I think you prolly already do and that's a large part of why we take this leap. Everyone I've met in my four + years has been so kind and so encouraging ~ and, of course, talented! I look forward to seeing your profile when you add it and following you, if you add the blue button. In the meantime, I'm glad you added the subscribe button and I will fill that in immediately! I'm way behind in my New Friends Corner, but I look forward to introducing you to my friends as soon as possible! Hugs, Darnell
